Heijmans NV Integrity Committee
The introduction of the Heijmans Code of Conduct took place in the first half of 2003. As a follow-up to this introduction, Heijmans considered which points required improvement or further elaboration with regard to the policy associated with and the implementation of the Code of Conduct. As a result of this, the Code of Conduct will be renewed in 2011.
Heijmans has established the Heijmans NV Integrity Committee. The committee members are:
Gerrit Witzel - CEO Executive Board
Wim van der Poel - Director Heijmans Infrastructure Engineering
Gijs Schoonderbeek - Purchasing Director
Shiva von Stetten - Chairman of the Central Works Council
Herman van Oostrom - Company Secretary/Compliance Officer
Eduard Kimman - Professor and Lecturer in Business Ethics (external member)
Nicole Schaeffer - Central confidence advisor regarding integrity Heijmans N.V.
The committee focuses on the development and introduction of improvements to or additional measures for the integrity policy. The reporting structure incorporates a compliance function and a confidential function. At corporate level, the central confidential advisor is Nicole Schaeffer, policy employee of the corporate service Humans Resources Management (HRM) of Heijmans Nederland.
In order to lower the threshold for those wishing to report a matter and to enable a better response to any reports, the decision was made to appoint a confidential adviser for each division. The function of the confidential adviser is to facilitate, provide advice about and mediate with respect to any reports. In this regard, please see the Whistleblower Scheme.
